Wheat progressing, corn planting finishing up

With Spring rapidly approaching, many area producers burned the midnight oil over the weekend to get this year's corn crop planted.

From Wisner to Liddieville, planters could be seen operating well into the morning hours to beat the rain that fell in Franklin Parish on Sunday.
