Helen Cox overwhelms Lady Patriots

While many basketball fans agree this year's Franklin Parish Lady Patriots could be the best in school history, most everyone knew of the mountain they would have to climb to reach the second round of the LHSAA Class 4A playoffs.

The No. 25 Lady Patriots (17-10) traveled to the New Orleans area to square off with No. 8 Helen Cox on Monday night. Franklin Parish was overwhelmed by the Lady Cougars from nearly the opening tip of the contest, cultivating in a 73-29 loss.
