Winnsboro growers place in state corn yield contest

Five growers from Winnsboro recently placed in the 2012 National Corn Growers' Association's (NCGA) Corn Yield Contest in Louisiana.

John W. Moroni won first place in the No-Till/Strip-Till Irrigated division with Pioneer brand hybrid P1615HR, which yielded 287 bushels per acre.
