Bastrop clobbers FP, Wilson scores 28

The road was not kind to Franklin Parish on Tuesday, as both the Patriots and Lady Patriots suffered district defeats in Bastrop.

After getting out to a first-period lead against the Rams, the Patriots cooled off considerably in the final 24 minutes. Franklin Parish (11-11, 0-4) had no answer for Jay Wilson, who led Bastrop (14-5, 2-2) with 28 points (4-for-7 3PT). The Rams consistent free-throw shooting and stingy defense was the key in the 54-38 win over the Patriots.
