DOE releases school report cards

According to the School Performance Scores (SPS) and Letter Grade Report recently released by the Louisiana Department of Education, several parish schools made improvements in areas of growth, while others have remained unchanged.

The letter grade policy was enacted by lawmakers in the 2010 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature. For the fall 2012 score release, a top-performing school with an SPS of 120 or above will earn an A.
