A certain lot or parcel of land located in the SE/4 of NE/4 of Section 11, Township 13 North, Range 6 East, Franklin Parish, Louisiana, being more particularly described as follows: BEGIN at the Northeast Corner of the SE/4 of NE/4 of Section 11, T13N, R6E, as a Point of Beginning; thence from said Point of Beginning, run in a Southerly direction along the East boundary of the SE/4 of NE/4 of said Section 11 a distance of 70 yards; thence run in a Westerly direction parallel with the North boundary of the SE/4 of NE/4 of said Section 11 a distance of 140 yards; thence run in a Northerly direction parallel with the East boundary of the SE/4 of NE/4 of said Section 11 a distance of 70 yards to the North boundary of the SE/4 of NE/4 of said Section 11; thence run in a Easterly direction along the North boundary of the SE/4 of NE/4 of said Section 11, a distance of 140 yards back to the Point of Beginning, containing 2.0 acres, more or less, and being a portion of that certain 80 acre tract of land acquired by R.A. VILLAGE OF BASKIN
REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
Nov. 13, 2012
The Mayor and Council of the Village of Baskin met in regular session on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at 5 p.m. at the Village of Baskin Town Hall.
Present: Mayor Jean Clark, and Council members Marie Barber, Larry LaBorde and Joseph Chase.
Also present: Town Clerk, Chief of Police and Fire Chief.
There being a quorum present, the meeting was called to order.
The Pledge of Allegiance and the opening prayer was led by Mayor Clark.
The minutes of the previous council meeting were presented.
Joseph Chase made a motion; Marie Barber seconded the motion to approve the minutes as read. Yeas 3; Nays 0; Absent 0.
Old Business: Fire Department Repairs
Report given that a vendor was contacted but the work has not been done.
New Business:
Larry LaBorde made a motion; Marie Barber seconded the motion to pay bills and financial obligations. Yeas 3. Nays 0, Absent 0.
Police Department Report: Chief Barber reported that the department was doing well.
Fire Department Report: Chief Bobby Fife told that the firefights will have the propane training classes on November 14 and 15. Radios are being updated per FCC narrowband emissions requirements. Batteries are needed for the tanker and will be provided in a timely manner.
Further Business: Review for fiscal year ending June 30, 2012 has been completed and the report was without exception.
Having completed all business, Mayor Clark called for a motion to adjourn the council meeting.
Larry LaBorde made a motion; Joseph Chase seconded the motion to close the meeting. Yeas 3. Nays 0. Absent 0.
The meeting adjourned at 5:25 p.m.

REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
Nov. 8, 2012
The Village of Gilbert Mayor and Board of Alderman met in regular session on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at 6:30 p.m., at the Gilbert City Hall.
Those present were as follows: Mayor Mike Stephens, Clerk Diane Parker, Alderman Kay Dunaway, Christine Ezell, and Randy Lloyd.
Also present were Joann Evans, Bill McLemore, Wayne Jones, Ty Britt and Citizens.
Call To Order:
Mayor Stephens called the meeting to order. Mike Stephens led in opening prayer. Diane Parker led in the Pledge of Allegiance.
MINUTES: Motion made by Kay Dunaway, seconded by Randy Lloyd to accept the October minutes as presented. Motion carried.
FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS:
Motion made by Kay Dunaway, seconded by Randy Lloyd to accept the financial documents as presented. Motion carried.
PYA MONTHLY BILLS:
Motion made by Randy Lloyd, seconded by Christine Ezell to pay the monthly bills. Motion carried.
POLICE DEPARTMENT:
Chief Britt made a recommendation that Eric McMurray and Jacob Wayne Jones be hired as part-time patrol officer. Discussion was held. Motion made by Randy Lloyd, seconded by Christine Ezell to hire Eric McMurray and Jacob Wayne Jones as a part-time patrol officer. Motion carried.
PUBLIC WORKS:
Wayne Jones gave monthly report.
CITIZENS PARTICIPATION:
None available.
NEW BUSINESS:
Mayor Stephens, town council, and all employees would like to “Thank You to the Gilbert Woman’s Club” for the excellent job landscaping around our community center.
OLD BUSINESS:
None available.
DISCUSS ANY OTHER BUSINESS:
Discussion was held on the dog pen. Stephens stated that some work needed to be addressed on the drainage problem with the dog pen.
