TOWN OF WISNER ALLYN JEAN LUCKETT, MAYOR. 8-1, 8-8, 8-15 3tb mmm Minutes – Library Board Meeting July, 25, 2012 The Franklin Parish Library Board met in a regular noon meeting on July 25, 2012. Ms Luella Snyder, Board President, opened the meeting with board members Addie Bolton, Jeannette Thompson and Bill Marionneaux present. Mr. Guice was absent. Dr. Marionneaux moved that the minutes of the last meeting be approved as published. Ms Thompson seconded the motion and all were in favor. Library Director, Carolyn Flint, gave the statistical reports for the second quarter of 2012. The financial report was given and the financial status of the library is good. Ms Flint reported that income and spending for this time of year are on track. She also reported that no state aid money will be received for 2013. It was reported that circulation of library materials remains good. The number of e-patrons and e-books has gone up each month since February. Ms Flint gave a copy of the auditor’s report to each board member. The library received a clean audit with no findings. A copy of Act 693 passed by the Louisiana Legislature during the 2012 Legislative Session was give to each board member. The act adds public libraries to the places at which the physical presence of sex offenders is prohibited. Each public library must work with the State Library to develop a local sex offender policy by January 1, 2013. There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned.
