By virtue of a writ of SEIZURE AND SALE, to me directed by the honorable Fifth District Court of Louisiana, in and for the Parish of Franklin, I will offer for sale at public auction, at the front door of the Courthouse, in the City of Winnsboro, Franklin Parish, La., on Wednesday the 11th day of January A.D., 2012, with in legal sale hours, the following described property, to-wit:
A certain lot or parcel of land located in the Town of Wisner, Franklin Parish, Louisiana, described as follows: Begin at the point of intersection of a northwesterly projection of the northern boundaries of Additions to Blocks 19 and 34 of Wisner or the southern boundaries of the original Blocks of 19, 34, 18 and 11, with the centerline of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, all as shown by Plat of Survey entitled ADDITION TO BLOCKS 19 AND 34 OF TOWN OF WISNER, Wisner, Louisiana, filed as Plat Number 168 in Plat Book A of the Records of Franklin Parish, Louisiana, and which point is also on a southeasterly projection of the southern boundary of Block 9 of Addition to Wisner as shown by plat recorded in Notarial Book 2, page 416 of the Records of Franklin Parish, Louisiana, and which point is also on a southeasterly projection of the southern boundary of Block 42 of Wisner, Louisiana, as shown by a map of Wisner, Louisiana, made by E.E. Scott, Reg. C.E., dated 1924; and from said point run thence in a southwesterly direction along the centerline of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, 25 feet to a point of intersection with the centerline of the former Fifth Street or Gum Street, as shown by the above-described map; thence turn a right deflection of 90°-00’ and run in a northwesterly direction, along the centerline of said former street, 465 feet; thence turn a left deflection of 90°-00’ and run in a southwesterly direction, 25 feet to a point of intersection with the northwesterly projection of the northern boundary of Block 10 of said Addition to Wisner for a POINT OF BEGINNING; thence from said POINT OF BEGINNING continue in a southwesterly direction along a continuation of the last-described course and parallel to the centerline of the Missouri Pacific Railroad and along a line which is parallel to and 185 feet northwesterly from the western boundary of said Block 10 of Addition to Wisner when measured perpendicular to said boundary, 125 feet; thence turn a right deflection of 90°-00’ and run in a northwesterly direction, 200 feet; thence turn a right deflection of 90°-00’ and run in a northeasterly direction 125 feet to a point of intersection with said northwesterly projection of the northern boundary of said Block 10 of Addition to Wisner; thence turn a right deflection of 90°-00’ and run in a southeasterly direction along said northwesterly projection of the northern boundary of said Block 10 of Addition to Wisner, 200 feet back to the POINT OF BEGINNING, and being the northern 125 feet off of that certain tract of land acquired by William G. Thomas, from Alanson Wood Moore and Laura Martin Moore, September 2, 1975, recorded in Conveyance Book 176, page 25, records of Franklin Parish, Louisiana.

PUBLIC NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Franklin Parish School Board is now accepting sealed bids for the sale of right of way located behind the Franklin Parish School Board warehouse located at 7293 Prairie Road, Winnsboro, Louisiana 71295. The bid must be at least the amount of appraised value and also must include the cost of the appraisal and survey of property. For inspection of this land and cost of appraisal and survey, please contact Doug Clark at the Franklin Parish School Board at 318-435-9046.
The bids must be sealed and clearly marked “SEALED BID FOR RIGHT OF WAY LOCATED ON FRANKLIN PARISH SCHOOL BOARD PROPERTY, 7293 PRAIRIE ROAD, WINNSBORO, LA.” All bids must be received at the Franklin Parish School Board Office, 7293 Prairie Road, Winnsboro, LA 71295 no later than 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2012. Bids will be opened on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.
The Franklin Parish School Board reserves the right to accept or reject an and/or all bids.
