1. The financial statements were presented, reviewed and approved without descent.
2. A general discussion ensued concerning the purchase of a 1995 fire engine from Deep-South Fire Trucks, Seminary, MS for approximately $85,000.
3. It was the general consensus of the Board that we could find a later model engine and that we should continue our search. Colby Peppers volunteered to search the internet for some possibilities.
4. Don Middleton had contacted several companies specifying our needs for a used fire truck with no acceptable results.
5. The Board adjourned with the hope that the internet search would bring good results.

PUBLIC NOTICE
LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY (LDEQ)
CITY OF WINNSBORO / WINNSBORO MUNICIPAL TREATMENT PLANT
DRAFT WATER DISCHARGE PERMIT
The LDEQ, Office of Environmental Services, is accepting written comments on a Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) permit prepared for the City of Winnsboro, Winnsboro Municipal Treatment Plant, PO Box 270, Winnsboro, Louisiana 71295. The facility is located at 165 Davis Street in Winnsboro, Franklin Parish. Upon the effective date of the final permit, the LPDES permit shall replace the previously issued LPDES permit, LA0020281.
The principal discharge from this existing source is made into an unnamed tributary, thence into Turkey Creek, waters of the state classified for primary contact recreation, secondary contact recreation, and propagation of fish and wildlife. Under SIC Code 4952, the applicant proposes to discharge treated sanitary wastewater from a publicly owned treatment works serving the City of Winnsboro.
During the preparation of this permit, it has been determined that the discharge will have no adverse impact on the existing uses of the receiving waterbody. As with any discharge, however, some change in existing water quality may occur.
Written comments, written requests for a public hearing or written requests for notification of the final decision regarding this permit action may be submitted to LDEQ, Public Participation Group, P.O. Box 4313, Baton Rouge, LA 70821-4313. Written comments and/or written requests must be received by 12:30 p.m., WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3, 2011. Written comments will be considered prior to a final permit decision.

If LDEQ finds a significant degree of public interest, a public hearing will be held. LDEQ will send notification of the final permit decision to the applicant and to each person who has submitted written comments or a written request for notification of the final decision.

Viewing hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays). The available information can also be accessed electronically on the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) on the DEQ public website at www.deq.louisiana.gov.
