NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the administrator of this succession have petitioned the court for authority to sell immovable property of the estate unto Vernis Russell or any other qualified buyer at private sale in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure in consideration of the price and sum of not less than $5,000.00, cash, to be paid upon execution of the deed.

A certain lot or parcel of land located in the NW 1/4 of SW 1/4, Section 34, Township 14 North, Range 8 East, Franklin Parish, Louisiana, described as BEGINNING at a concrete highway right-of-way marker on the southern boundary of Louisiana State Highway No. 4 Right-of-way at a point of tangent of said right-of-way boundary, and which point is approximately 2 chains south and approximately 5.7 chains east of the northwest corner of said NW 1/4 of SW 1/4, and from said POINT OF BEGINNING run thence in a southwesterly direction along the southern boundary of Louisiana State Highway No. 4 Right-of-way or along a line parallel to and 40 feet southeasterly from the centerline of said highway, 348.3 feet to a 1/2" diameter steel rod at a point of intersection with the eastern boundary of a Gravel Public Road Right-of-way (Lishman Road) running in a southerly direction along the west boundary of said NW 1/4 of SW 1/4; thence turn a left deflection of 86°18' and run in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of said Gravel Public Road Right-of-way or along a line parallel to and 15 feet easterly from the centerline of said road, 206.6 feet; thence turn a left deflection of 75°58' and run in a southeasterly direction, 447.4 feet; thence turn a left deflection of 92°14' and run in a northeasterly direction, 341.8 feet, more or less, to a point of intersection with the southern boundary of Louisiana State Highway No. 4 Right-of-way; thence in a westerly direction along said right-of-way boundary, 156.4 feet, more or less, back to the POINT OF BEGINNING; containing 3.00 acres, more or less.

The Franklin Parish Police Jury will conduct a public hearing regarding the 2011 budget. The time will be 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 9th, 2010, in the Police Jury Meeting Room at 6558 Main Street, Winnsboro, LA. All interested citizens will have the opportunity to give written or oral comments. The public is encouraged to attend. WHEREAS, EARLEAN JONES WALKER, the Administratrix of the above captioned succession, has made application to mortgage the following described property to Everhome Mortgage Company, in the amount of $55,750.00, at an interest rate of 5%, payable in monthly installments not to exceed 360 months, and said property is described as follows, to-wit:
