The Franklin Parish School Board is now accepting sealed bids for the sale of land and buildings of the old Ogden School Facility, 2212 La. Hwy. 135, Winnsboro, Louisiana 71295 containing 6.25 acres more or less. This property lies on the west side of Hwy. 135. The bid must be at least the amount of appraisal, $40,000.00 For inspection of this land and buildings, please contact Benton Moore at the Franklin Parish School Board at 318-435-9046.
The bids must be sealed and clearly marked "Sealed Bid for land and buildings of the old Ogden School Facility." All bids must be received at the Franklin Parish School Board Office, 7293 Prairie Road, Winnsboro, LA 71295 no later than 12:00 noon on August 18, 2010. Bids will be opened on August 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.
The Franklin Parish School Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids.

cavern. The assigned application number is 32310.
The well is proposed to be in Section 24, Township 15N, Range 8E, TURKEY CREEK Field, FRANKLIN
Parish, Louisiana. The proposed well is identified as the PGS SWD Well No. 004, Serial Number NEW
WELL.
Subsurface disposal of saltwater is proposed to occur within an injection zone from approximately 1,980
feet to 8,400 feet. Initial perforations are proposed from approximately 8,340 feet to 8,390 feet. The
saltwater for disposal will be generated from the solution mining of salt in the CROWVILLE salt dome.
The application is available for inspection from 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday in the
Injection and Mining Division Office, Rm. 817, LaSalle Building, 617 North Third Street, Baton Rouge, LA.
Interested parties may request a public hearing or submit written comments on the application. Such
requests must be received in the Injection and Mining Division by 4:30 p.m., no later than 15 days from

REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
Aug. 10, 2010
The Mayor and the Council of the Village of Baskin met in regular session on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at 5 p.m., at the Village of Baskin Town Hall.
Present: Mayor Billy Joe Cupp and Council Members Michael Ballard and Larry LaBorde.
Also Present; Town Clerk, Chief of Police and guests.
There being a quorum, the meeting was called to order.
The Pledge of Allegiance and prayer was led by Mayor Billy Joe Cupp.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Clerk.
Larry LaBorde made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Mike Ballard seconded. Yeas: 2. Nays: 0. Absent: 1.

Chief Barber reported that a part-time patrolman has resigned. He stated that school will begin in two weeks and more help will be needed. He recommended that William "Billy" Beach be hired as part-time patrolman. Yeas 2. Nays 0. Absent 1.
FIRE DEPARTMENT:
Chief Bobby Fife reported that several volunteer fire fighters continue the training for Fire Fighter 1. Results of the hazmat training and test are forthcoming. Mutual aid issues and placement of the donated sign were discussed.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:15 p.m.

FINAL PUBLIC NOTICE
CDBG- DISASTER RECOVERY APPLICATION AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW
The Town of Wisner announces that an application for Hurricanes Gustav and Ike Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Municipalities Infrastructure Program will be submitted for the public facilities and improvements project in the amount of $250,000. The project will include generators at the water well site, main lift station and water treatment plant. The Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit (OCD DRU) is accepting applications for municipal infrastructure recovery projects associated with Hurricanes Gustav and Ike. The Town of Wisner will hold a public hearing prior to submission of the application on August 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wisner Town Hall. The purpose of this hearing is to obtain citizen input in the identification of recovery priorities and to elicit citizen feedback on the proposed application.
A description of the proposed project and a copy of the proposed application will be on file at the Town of Wisner Mayor's office located at 9530 Natchez Street, Wisner, Louisiana for citizens' review and comments during regular business hours from August 20, 2010 through August 30, 2010. Minutes of Board meeting dated Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 7:30 a.m., Crowville Fire Station.
Members present: Kelly Clark, Dewayne Hendry, Don Middleton and Colby Peppers.
Guests Present: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Steffensen, resident of Central Community and Mr. Daniel Fuller, Fireman, representing the Central & Black Communities of the Fire District.
Business discussed and/or acted on by the Board:
1. The financial statements were reviewed, discussed and approved. Copies are on file with the minutes at the Board office.
2. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Steffensen expressed concerns about the upkeep of Central Fire Station. Several members of the Board discussed these issues with the Steffensens and the Board is satisfied that these problems can be readily resolved.
3. Mr. Daniel Fuller discussed some mechanical problems with the fire truck at Central. The truck has a transmission problem being locked in reverse. The Board members were not aware of this problem. Daniel Fuller said that it was a recent malfunction. Kelly Clark, Don Middleton and Daniel Fuller agreed to visit a mechanic after the meeting to arrange for repairs to this vehicle.
4. Mr. and Mrs. Steffensen were told by the Board that any help that they could give in recruiting volunteers for the northern portion of our District would be greatly appreciated.
