DELINQUENT TAX SALE OF IMMOVABLE PROPERTY

WINNSBORO, LOUISIANA
By virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the state of Louisiana, I will sell, at the front door of the courthouse in which the civil district court of said parish is held within legal hours of judicial sales beginning at 10:00 a.m. (ten o’clock) on Wednesday the 5th day of May, 2010, and continuing on each succeeding day, until said sales are completed, all immovable property on which taxes are now due to the state of Louisiana and the parish of Franklin. To enforce the collection of taxes assessed for the year, 2009, together with interest thereon from the thirty-first (31st) day of December, 2009, at the rate of twelve percent (12%) per annum until paid, together with all costs, the names of said delinquent taxpayers, the amount of taxes due by each one on the assessment of said year, and the immovable property assessed to each are to be offered for sale.
On the stated day of the sale, I will sell for cash and without appraisement such portion of the immovable property as the taxpayer shall point out and in case the taxpayer shall not point out sufficient property, I will at once and without delay sell for cash, without appraisement, sell the least quantity of immovable property which any bidder will buy for the amount of taxes assessed upon it with interest and costs due by said debtor. The sale shall be for cash in legal tender money of the United States of America. The property sold will be redeemable at any time for the period of three years by paying the price given, including costs and five percent (5%) penalty thereon, with interest at the rate of one percent (1%) per month.
