Billy Joe Cupp, Mayor Dani Dean, Clerk 1/20 1tb mmm STATE OF LOUISIANA EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT PROCLAMATION NO. 4 BJ 2010 SPECIAL ELECTION- POLICE JUROR - PARISH OF FRANKLIN WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the office of the Police Juror, District 3, Parish of Franklin, due to the resignation of Ray Young, effective December 16, 2009; and WHEREAS, R.S. 18:602 mandates that the Governor shall call a special election to fill the vacancy in an office where the unexpired term exceeds one (1) year, in accordance with the provisions of R.S. 18:602(E)(2)(a) and/or the dates for elections set forth in R.S. 18:402; NOW THEREFORE, I Bobby Jindal, Governor of the State of Louisiana, by virtue of the authority vested by the Constitution and laws of the State of Louisiana, do hereby order and direct as follows: SECTION 1: A special primary and a special general election shall be throughout the jurisdiction of District 3, parish of Franklin, for the purpose of election a Police Juror to fill a vacancy in the office.
