Public Notices Published Wednesday, May 6th, 2009Board of Commissioners Franklin Parish Hospital Service District No. 1, d/b/a Franklin Medical Center March 25, 2009 at 12:00 pm Members Present: Paul Price Jr.; Chairman, Michael Wright; Vice Chairman, Jan Hicks, Dan Warner, and Nick Poulos. Others Present: Robert Boullion, Blake Kramer, Sheila Mason, Dr. Joel Eldridge, Dr. T. Colvin, Dr. J. Coughran, Dwaine Boothe, Judy Ogden and Charlotte Boone. Call to Order and Invocation: Mr. Price called the meeting to order and Mr. Wright gave the invocation. Judy Ogden gave updates on the status of the IT conversion. Ms. Ogden reported “It is a long going process but I am satisfied with the progress we are making. Seimens and the employees are making the transition smooth. Everyone is working together.” Dwaine Boothe gave updates on the status of hospital projects. Cost of renovation of rental property in Crowville. Pricing and materials needed for IOP and WRHC canopy. Renovations of the 1st and 3rd floors of the hospital. The 1st floor has a few doors to be refinished and the foyer in the lobby area still has to be painted and recarpeted. Discussed 9 rooms previously renovated on the 3rd floor in 2008 Discussed the 6 rooms recently renovated, 2 rooms being renovated currently, and the 4 rooms that remain to be renovated on the 3rd floor Discussed ICU renovations on 3rd floor. Curtains have been received and are being placed in patient rooms. Discussed HVAC bids placed in the Franklin Sun this week Dr. J. Coughran and Dr. T Colvin entered the meeting at 12:43 pm. Motion was made by Mr. Warner and seconded by Mr. Poulos to add to the agenda discussion of strategic planning regarding hospital- medical staff relation with Dr. J. Coughran and Dr. T. Colvin in executive session. Motion carried without objection. A motion was made by Mr. Warner, to enter into executive session, motion carried unanimously. Dr. Hicks entered the meeting at 1:36 pm. A motion to enter into open session was made by Mr. Poulos and seconded by Mr. Wright. Motion carried without objection. A motion to approve the minutes from February 19, 2009 and March 13, 2009 meetings was made by Michael Wright and seconded by Nick Poulos. The motion carried without objection. Mr. Boullion reported the financials. A motion was made by Dr. Hicks to approve the financials as presented the motion was seconded by Mr. Warner. The motion carried without objection. Ms. Mason reported the CNO report and PI report. A motion was made by Dr. Hicks and seconded by Danny Warner to approve the CNO and PI reports as presented. The motion carried without objection. A motion was present by Mr. Poulos and seconded by Mr. Warner, to approve the resolution changing administering personal for the Employee Retirement Plan and Employee Health Benefits plan. Motion carried without objection. No action was taken regarding adoption of the new Teleradiology agreement. The motion to adjourn was made by Dr. Hicks, and seconded by Mr. Wright. Motion carried without objection.
