VILLAGE OF GILBERT
ORDINANCE NO. 301
EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 2008
AN ORDINANCE TITLED “INDECENT EXPOSURE” RELATIVE TO WEARING OF PANTS BELOW THE WAIST IN PUBLIC AND TO OTHERWISE PROVIDE WITH RESPECT THERETO.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Village of Gilbert, convened in regular session on January 10, 2008, to adopt Ordinance No. 301, to read as follows:
ORDINANCE NO. 301: INDECENT EXPOSURE.
a). It shall be unlawful for any person to appear in public wearing pants below the waist which exposes the skin or undergarments.
b). If a juvenile is determined to be in violation of this ordinance a citation shall be issued to a parent or legal guardian, who has care and control of the minor; or if an adult is determined to be in violation of this ordinance a citation shall be issued to the person and the person shall be punished by a fine as follows:
1) Any person convicted of first offense violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of $25.00.
2) Any person convicted of second offense violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of $50.00.
3) Any person convicted of third offense violating the provisions of the Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of $75.00.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance shall become effective February 1, 2008.
Any ordinance or parts of ordinance in conflict with this ordinance, to the extent of that conflict, are hereby repealed.
After a public hearing was held on the above ordinance, the title having been read and the ordinance considered, a motion was made by Kay Dunaway, seconded by Leo Miller to adopt Ordinance No. 301, a recorded vote was taken and the following result was had:

Nays: none
Absent: none.

The Franklin Parish Police Jury is now accepting applications for the position of a full-time low boy operator employee. Applications will be taken through February 8, 2008, and may be picked up at the Office of the Police Jury located inside the Franklin Parish Courthouse. Pay will be commensurate with experience. Special Meeting
January 29, 2008
The Franklin Parish Police Jury met in Special Session on this 29th day of January, 2008 at 4:30 P.M. in the Police Jury meeting room, Courthouse Building, Winnsboro, Louisiana with the following members present: Honorable Harvey Guimbellot, K.W. “Buddy” Parks, Ricky Campbell, and Troy Hendry.
Jurors Jackie Johnson, Ray Young, and Leroy Scott were absent.
Brother Marion Collier opened the meeting with a Prayer and the Pledge.
Motion by Hendry and seconded by Parks to approve the agenda. Unanimously approved
Motion by Campbell and seconded by Hendry to hire Mick Freeman as Tire Shop Employee at $8.50 per hour. Unanimously approved
There being no further business to discuss at this time, on a motion by Parks and seconded by Hendry the meeting was unanimously approved adjourned.

The Franklin Parish School Board will be taking sealed bids for the sale of:
8 School Buses located at H.G. White Learning Center, 5915 Hwy. 4, Winnsboro, Louisiana
2 Four-Wheel drive pickup trucks located at H.G. White Learning Center, 5915 Hwy. 4, Winnsboro, Louisiana
1 - 14x35 Storage Building located at 8756 Hwy. 15, Wisner, LA.
The deadline for submitting bids will be Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 12:00 noon. Bids will be opened on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Franklin Parish School Board Office, 7293 Prairie Road, Winnsboro, LA 71295.
Bids must be sealed and clearly marked, BUS BID, TRUCK BID OR BUILDING BID.
These vehicles and building will be sold as is to the highest bidder.

The Franklin Parish School Board has the right to accept or reject any and all bids.
