The Franklin Parish School Board met for a public hearing on Monday, September 10, 2007 at 5:15 p.m. in the Franklin Parish School Board Complex to review the 2007-2008 General Fund Consolidated Budget.
The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Whitten. The agenda is as follows:

Mrs. Whitten went over the 2007-2008 General Fund Consolidated Budget. Mrs. Whitten took questions from the Board and public.

The Franklin Parish School Board met in special session on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. in the Franklin Parish School Board Complex.
Present for the meeting were Mrs. Louise Johnson, Mr. Tim Eubanks, Mr. Eddie Ray Bryan, Mr. Ronnie Hatton, and Mr. Jesse Young.
Mrs. Dorothy Brown and Mr. Richard Kelly was absent from the meeting.
President Eddie Ray Bryan called the meeting to order, Mrs. Louise Johnson led in Prayer and President Bryan led the Pledge of Allegiance.
MOTION TO ADD ITEM TO AGEDNA, PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE FOR CUSTODIAN AT GILBERT AND FRANKLIN PARISH HIGH SCHOOL
ORDINANCE # 2007-09-0016
BE IT ORDAINED, ETC., that the Franklin Parish School Board approve adding to agenda item, permission to advertise for custodian at Gilbert School and Franklin Parish High School.
MOTION: Mrs. Louise Johnson SECOND: Mr. Jesse Young

MOTION TO ADVERTISE BY SEALED BID THE SALE OF OLD SCHOOL BUSES
Mr. Tim Eubanks made the motion and Mr. Jesse Young seconded the motion to advertise by sealed bid the sale of old school buses. Mr. Benton Moore spoke to the Board and asked the Board to included in the sale some old truck bodies. Mr. Tim Eubanks withdrew the motion and offered an amended motion.
MOTION TO ADVERTISE BY SEALED BID THE SALE OF OLD SCHOOL BUSES AND TRUCK BODIES

BE IT ORDAINED, ETC., that the Franklin Parish School Board approve to advertise by sealed bid the sale of old school buses and some old truck bodies.
MOTION: Mr. Tim Eubanks SECOND: Mr. Jesse Young
All members present approved.
MOTION TO ADVERTISE FOR CUSTODIAN AT GILBERT SCHOOL AND FRANKLIN PARISH HIGH SCHOOL

BE IT ORDAINED, ETC., that the Franklin Parish School Board approve to advertise for custodian at Gilbert School and Franklin Parish High School.
MOTION: Mr. Jesse Young SECOND: Mr. Tim Eubanks
All members present approved.
Mrs. Dorothy Brown arrived at 5:22 p.m.
INFORMATION MEETING TO REVIEW PRELIMINARY PLANS FOR FRANKLIN PARISH HIGH SCHOOL RENOVATIONS
Dr. Johnson introduced architects Tim Brandon and Hugh Parker of TB Architecture. Dr. Johnson has worked with these two gentlemen in Ouachita Parish. Dr. Johnson announced that Regions Bank has agreed to take the QZAB money for Franklin Parish and we should be receiving the money some time in October. Dr. Johnson turned the presentation over to Tim Brandon. Mr. Brandon presented a preliminary plan for work to be done on Franklin Parish High School and the new classroom wing at Crowville School. Board members discussed and asked questions concerning the renovations plans.
Mrs. Louise Johnson left at 5:55 p.m.

The Franklin Parish School Board met for its regular scheduled agenda meeting on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 6:02 p.m. in the Franklin Parish School Board Complex.
Present for the meeting were Mr. Tim Eubanks, Mrs. Dorothy Brown, Mr. Eddie Ray Bryan, Mr. Ronnie Hatton, Mr. Jesse Young, and Mr. Richard Kelly.
