Mixed bag for FP in Johnston Classic

The Franklin Parish Patriots continue to hover at the .500 mark after splitting its four tournament games for the second consecutive week.

The Patriots played host to the annual Mathew Johnston Memorial Classic in Winnsboro over the weekend and showed signs the gears are beginning to turn in the right direction with blowout wins over Farmerville and Monterey.

Franklin Parish (6-6) will compete in the Caldwell Tournament this week, taking on Pineville Thursday night, before matching up with Mangham for the first time this season at 3:30 p.m. Friday. The Dragons (8-4) will try to rebound from a 1-3 weekend at the St. Mary Tournament, losing to St. Mary, Covington and Ascension Catholic.
