Narcotics confiscated in parish

Three Tensas Parish men were arrested last week after a quantity of drugs with a street value in excess of $10,000 was found in the car they were in, according to officials.

Stopped for a moving violation on La. Hwy. 4, Franklin Parish Sheriff Kevin Cobb said deputies and narcotics agents arrested three men, after it was discovered the men were transporting four pounds of compressed marijuana, one ounce of crack cocaine and a small quantity of various pills into Franklin Parish. The suspects had $1,200 in cash in their possession that was also seized with the narcotics.
