Up and down week for Cougar varsity

Curt McGuffie and Michael Moroni combined to limit Claiborne Academy to only two hits, as Franklin Academy clobbered the Rebels, 12-0, last Tuesday in Haynesville.

McGuffie took the mound in the bottom of the first inning as the Cougars starting pitcher with a comfortable six run lead before he ever threw a pitch. Franklin Academy would pile up five more runs in the second inning before adding the final run of the game in the top of the third.
