Winnsboro convict attacks Angola prison guard by Katie Norwood - posted Wednesday, February 20th, 2013 @ 5:50 am  E-mail Story |  Print Story  Warner Wiley, a Louisiana State Penitentiary inmate serving a life sentence for the beating death of Myrla Massey in Winnsboro, allegedly beat a female employee at the prison last Monday night, according to officials. Wiley was transferred from Franklin Parish to Angola in 1986. Reports state that Wiley, who was convicted in Franklin Parish for first degree murder in 1983, repeatedly struck a 52-year-old female officer in the face and head with a metal serving pan.
