'Miss Gladys' to mark 96th posted Wednesday, January 16th, 2013 @ 7:48 am  E-mail Story |  Print Story  Gladys Otwell Gaskin of Extension, will celebrate her 96th birthday on January 25, 2013. She is a retired teacher and gardener and now enjoys birdwatching and keeping in touch with family and friends. "Miss Gladys" taught 36 years in the Franklin Parish School System, namely Ogden and Fort Necessity schools. Several generations of children learned the basic subjects along with moral and civic responsibility and the importance of always doing their best.
