Emerging artist contest set for Jan. 12 posted Tuesday, January 8th, 2013 @ 10:06 am  E-mail Story |  Print Story  The 2013 Marjorie Stricklin Emerging Artists Competition will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, at Biedenharn Recital Hall on the ULM campus. Music lovers are encouraged to attend the final round at 7:30 p.m., when the cream of the crop of Louisiana's young musicians showcase their high level of artistry and musicianship. Those participating compete in one of two age groups: Youth - 12 years through high school graduation, or Young adult - college freshman through age 30.
