The conversation becomes a divisive tool that separates the pro-gun crowd from those who want tighter gun restrictions. But the argument is often framed between two extremes rather than addressing the problem of gun violence at any level. The truth is, it's harder to get a child enrolled in one of the country's top-ranked kindergartens than it is for a parent to buy an automatic weapon and kill that same class of kindergarteners.
