No. 8 Vandelbilt Catholic (10-1)

+ Coach Brad Villavaso is in his first season back. He was previously head coach at VC from 1996-2006.

+ Vandebilt won its first district title since 2002 this season.

+ Ranked No. 7 in the final Louisiana Sports Writers Association's Class 4A poll.

+ Vandebilt's has won ten straight. Its lone loss was to rival E.D. White Catholic (27-15). The game was pushed back one day because of Hurricane Isaac, and it was played in the middle of a Saturday afternoon in the 100 degree heat.

Terrier leaders :
Offense
QB Elijah McGuire (5-11, 185, Sr.) As the state's top rusher, the speedy senior has accumulated 2,308 rushing yards in 11 games. He passed for 392 yards (36-of-60) and three TDs and three INTs in the regular season. In the playoff opener, McGuire finished with 21 carries for 214 yards and one TD and completed 4-of-7 passes for 78 yards and two scores.

FB Aaron Smith (5-10, 205, Sr.) added 846 yards rushing and nine TDs in the regular season.
