Franklin Academy's girls captured the MPSA South A State Tennis Championship at Natchez, Ms., on April 30.

Franklin finished with 11.5 points. Huntington School was second with 10 points.

Franklin's No. 2 girls doubles team of Shelby Kiper and Katelyn Leonard defeated Huntington's Abbey Ashmore and Allie Boothe, 6-1, 6-2 for the South State title.

In. No. 2 girls singles, Lindsey Carroll of Franklin advanced to the finals before falling to Hannah Scroggs of Glenbrook.

Laurel Christian won the boys championship with 14 points, while Wilkinson County Christian Academy was second with 12.5.
