Boothe 'outstanding' in track and field Jim Boothe of Winnsboro helped lead the Ouachita Christian School Eagles to a first place finish in the Region 1A track and field meet in Logansport, La., on April 22.
Boothe placed first in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:49.55 and third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:06.9. Boothe's accomplishments earned him the award for outstanding track performer in the region, which covers all of north Louisiana.
Boothe and his teammates will participate in the state track and field meet at LSU on May 1.
