WHS Class of 1958 to hold 50 year reunion Saturday Winnsboro High School's 1958 graduating class will hold its 50-year reunion in Winnsboro Saturday, April 26.
Thirty-two members of the class are expected to attend the reunion, which will be held at Temple Baptist Church.
Nike Poulos Anderson and Loretta Smith Gwin are co-chairpersons of the reunion, which will have two main events. Family, friends and schoolmates are invited to attend what Anderson and Gwin describe as a "getting re-acquainted" session from 2 to 4 p.m. in the church's Family Life Center. The reunion will conclude with a dinner for class members and spouses at 6:30 p.m., also in the Family Life Center.
Co-valedictorians of the 1958 class were Sandra Beach Chappell and Tucson Dunn while Yvonne Weems Leangrell was salutatorian.
Class officers were President James Fife, Vice President Linda Remore McIntyre, Secretary Lola Tarver Tillman, Treasurer Sandra Beach Chappell and Reporter Merrilyn Johnson Burnett. Faculty sponsors were Elizabeth Tillotson and Phillip Poole. |
