Summer play begins
The Winnsboro Dixie Youth baseball season for ages 9 through 12 began with opening ceremonies on Saturday.
Teams on this year's lineup include Crain Dodge, Franklin State Bank, Progressive Bank, Sullivan Vet, Edward Jones, Chevron, POWERade, Winnsboro Equipment, McLemores.
Coaches are encourated to pick up game summary forms at The Franklin Sun office, 415 Prairie St. Completed forms must be returned to The Sun by noon on Fridays.
