Franklin loses district game Franklin Academy fell to Glenbrook 13-4 Monday in the first round of the MPSA District 6A Tournament.
The Cougars meet Wilkinson County Christian Academy today, with the winner
WCCA, the District 6A South champ, was upset by Riverdale, 4-3. The Rebels scored three runs in the seventh inning to pull the upset.
The winner of the Franklin Academy-WCCA game will take on third-place teams from Districts 4 and 5 in a round-robin series on a neutral field Friday to determine the two wild-card slots for the Class A South State Tournament.
Caleb Haring pitched for the Rams against Glenbrook.
Franklin finished second to WCCA in District 6A South, while Glenbrook won its district, with Riverdale finishing second. |
