Patriots lose trio to W. Ouachita Franklin Parish High School fell to West Ouachita in three games last week.
The first one, played in West Monroe, found the Patriots scoring two runs to West Ouachita's 15. Jordan Temple took the loss on the mound, giving up 12 hits.
William Bland, Tyler Roberts and Jordan Temple each had two hits for three times at bat.
Coach Rick Berry said, "We hit okay and pitched okay, but didn't hit with runners on the bases."
On Sunday the Patriots played a double-header at West Ouachita. In the first game Franklin Parish got only four hits, two of them by Christian Eaton, and no runs. The home team took the win, 10-0.
William Bland was on the mound for the Patriots.
"William pitched well, but we can't beat anybody making seven errors," Berry said.
Franklin Parish took another no-run loss in the second game, falling 16-0. Christian Eaton was pitching for the Patriots.
The Patriots had eight errors in the game.
"That explains it all," said Berry, "and we played against a very good team."
The Patriots fell to 1-8 in District 2-4A. |
