Tigers hold Patriots to 9 hits Top-ranked Neville High took three games from Franklin Parish, holding the Patriots to nine hits over the three contests.
Trevor Stennett tossed a no-hitter against the Patriots in the first game Saturday as the Tigers cruised to a 15-1 win.
"They hit everything we threw," said Franklin Parish coach Jimmy Comeaux. "Corey (Kenney) didn't pitch bad and we made only one error, but we just couldn't hit with them."
Neville won the second game 19-2 as Christian Eaton and Tyler Roberts each had a hit.
Franklin Parish fell to the Tigers 12-2 in the third game as Eaton and William Bland had two hits each.
Neville led 4-1 after two inning before scoring three runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
Franklin Parish hosts West Ouachita Thursday before going to West Ouachita on Saturday. |
