Charles L. "Chuck" Carter
Breaux Bridge, LA - Funeral services Charles L. Laverne "Chuck" Carter, 40, of Breaux Bridge formerly of Winnsboro, will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge. He passed from this life Sunday, March 30, 2008 in Breaux Bridge.
Graveside rites will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at McKnight Cemetery near Rayville under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Carter died Sunday, March 30, 2008. He was avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and L.S.U. Football. He enjoyed shooting pool with his friends, riding horses, cooking for his friends and family, playing with kids, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his wife of 17 years, Gloria.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria E. Carter, of Breaux Bridge; one son, Daniel Seth Carter; two daughters, Lindsey Marie Carter and Hannah Arlie Renée Carter, all of Breaux Bridge; his mother, Dorothy M. Carter, of Epps, LA; two brothers, Donnie Moore, of Pioneer, LA, and Jerry Moore, of Batchlor, LA; three sisters, Gail McKee, of Wisner, LA, Tammy Carpenter, of Breaux Bridge, LA, and Mary Hughes, of San Antonio, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Carter; a brother, Joe Daniel Carter; and a sister, Linda Campbell.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 7 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Theriot, Brian Theriot, John Theriot, Michael Castille, Damion Thibodeaux, and Robin Henrich.
Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Lee.

Roddie Junior Emfinger
Funeral services for Roddie Junior Emfinger, 68, of Winnsboro were held at Magnolia Baptist Church Tuesday, April 1, 2008 with the Rev. Ron Ferrington and the Rev. Steve Roark officiating.
Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mr. Emfinger was born Nov. 10, 1939 in Winnsboro, and passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center, West Monroe. He was a meat market manager and carpenter of Winnsboro and a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roddie Emfinger; and daughter, Connie Ann Emfinger.
Survivors include his wife, Ellene Emfinger, Winnsboro; mother, Emma Barfield Emfinger, Winnsboro; sons, Kevin Emfinger, Olla; Faron Emfinger, Winnsboro; daughters: Pam Ezell, Tyeece Blount and Nikki Roark, all of Crowville; eight grandchildren; brothers: E.H. Emfinger and Charles Emfinger, both of Winnsboro; and sister, Bobby Reeves, Winnsboro.
Pallbearers were Chuck Easterling, Doug Easterling, Greg Lee, Terry Shirley, Eddie Quimby and Toby Easterling.

Bonnie Rose Finch
Bonnie Rose Finch, 62 of Watervliet, Michigan passed away Thursday, March 27 at her home.
She was born on Nov. 11, 1945 to Brinsfield Jones and Maggie (Shaw) King.
Bonnie loved spending time with her family and working at her church, His Place: Cathedral of Faith where she was considered the Mother of her church. Bonnie married Gale Finch on Dec. 27, 1997 at the Inn at Hawkshead in South Haven. Bonnie worked as an insurance billing clerk for Southwestern Medical Clinic in Berrien Center for the past eight years. Bonnie was a collector of ceramic chickens which she has nearly one hundred in her collection. She also was a collector of salt and pepper shakers at one time.
Bonnie had been performing music since she was a little girl. Her music took her to recording two albums with her sisters and two of her daughters. She instilled that love of music in her children. She spent a lot of her life giving to others. She enjoyed helping wherever she was needed and never turned down a chance to lift someone up. She is leaving behind a legacy of her love and devotion to her family and to God.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Gale Finch of Watervliet; mother, Maggie King of Winnsboro; four daughters: Connie and Wayne Davis of Hartford, Theressa and Greg Ruppert of South Haven, Paula and Robert Bunn of Paw Paw, and Darlene and Dean Foy of Coloma; a son, Jared and Beth Knox of South Haven; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers: Ernest and Bit Oliver of Winnsboro; Joe and Lynn Oliver of Jigger; three sisters: Lena Evans of Ft. Necessity, Joyce Kay and Peyton Parker and Sandy McMurray all of Winnsboro.
She is preceded in death by her stepdad, Leroy King of Wisner.
Funeral services were held Monday His Place: Cathedral of Faith, with Pastor Wayne Davis officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery in Watervliet. Memorial contribution can be made to the church.

Clifton McGee
Funeral services for Clifton McGee, 81, of Delhi, will be held Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 12 noon at Richardson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mildred Carter officiating.
Burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery in Warden, La., under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mr. McGee, a farmer, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Delhi Guest Home.
Survivors include sisters: Emma M. Anderson, Delhi; Dorothy M. Thues, Las Vegas, Nev.; brother, James McGee, Delhi.

George M. Pylant
Services for George M. Pylant, 87, of Crowvile, were held Monday, March 31, 2008 at Mulhearn Chapel with Dr. Keith Dowden officiating, Internment followed in Crowville Masonic Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro.
Mr. Pylant was a member of First Baptist Church Crowville, Woodmen of the World and retired famer and carpenter, he was most proud of his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents William Asberry Pylant and Zelma Ann Cox Pylant, along with five brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Helen Pylant, two daughters Linda Martin and her husband Huey and Rita Pilgreen and her husband Jim; three sons George A. Pylant and his wife Liz, Michael Pylant and his wife Gayle and Jeff Pylant; two brothers Floyd Pylant and Cecil Pylant; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Pallbearer were Brandon Pylant, Chad Pylant, Jason Pylant, Donnie Harper, Eddie Ward, Jeffery Lena, Joey Lena and Jason Nix.

Michael Angelo Pizzalato
A memorial service for Michael Angelo Pizzalato, 60, of West Monroe was held Saturday at Gill First National Funeral Home, Winnsboro with Brother J.P. Faubert of the West Monroe Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating.
Mr. Pizzalato died Friday, March 21, 2008. He was born Jan. 16, 1948 in Baton Rouge. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy SEAL and a jack-of-all-trades. He was an avid hunter and owner of Bowhunterz Pro-Shop in Lafayette.
Mr. Pizzalato was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick; and his parents Angelo Patrick Pizzalato and Doris Fay Farmer.
Survivors include his wife Kristina Hackworth Pizzalato, West Monroe; son, Michael Pizzalato Jr., Texarkana, Texas; daughter, Micah Nicole; sister, Paula Nunn, Baton Rouge; two grandchildren and one great-grandson; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Henry E. Robinson
Funeral services for Henry E. Robinson, 81, of Wisner will be held Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Newlight Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Oakley Cemetery in Gilbert under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mr. Robinson, a carpenter, died Friday, March 28, 2008 at Mary Anna Nursing Home in Wisner.
Survivors include Cora Williams, Wisner; daughters: Monica Wilkerson, Pennsylvania; Trma Mock and Charlie Mock, both of Dallas, Texas; sister, Amanda Hughes, Shreveport; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, April 4, 2008 from 12-7 p.m.

Annabel Smith Lee
Funeral services for Annabel Smith Lee, 83, of Winnsboro were held at Magnolia Baptist Church Monday, March 31, 2008 with the Rev. Wayne Smith and the Rev. Ron Ferrington officiating.
Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mrs. Lee was born Aug. 30, 1924 in Winnsboro, and passed away Friday, March 28, 2008 at Ridgecrest Nursing Home, West Monroe. She was a resident of Winnsboro, a homemaker, and a member of Emanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lee; son, Robert E. Lee Jr.; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Persinger; parents: Tillman and Katie Smith; seven brothers: G.B. Smith, F.W. Smith, Bob Smith, O.G. Smith, O.C. Smith, John Wesley Smith and Randy Smith; four sisters: Mac Hampton, Maggie Rose Reeves, Marie Smith and Elsie Brown.
Survivors include daughters: Judy Persinger, Brusly, La., and Karen Lee, Lafayette; brother, Dock Smith, Winnsboro; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Robby Persinger, Jeff Persinger, Greg Persinger, David Trichel, Johnny S. Clair and Andrew Persinger.

William D. Washington
Funeral services for William D. Washington, 50, of Monroe were held Saturday at St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. E. J. McFarland officiating.
Burial followed at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Winnsboro, under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mr. Washington, an orderly, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.
Survivors include his sister, Peggy Taylor, Maywood, Illinois; brothers: Rev. Ronnie Washington, Montgomery, Ala.; James Pleasant, Winnsboro; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Gregory Pleasant, Michael Boley, Anthony Jackson, Jerry Cotton, Paul Merrells, and Henry Wayne Byrd.
