Cancer society sets Relay for Life The time has come once again for the Franklin Parish American Cancer Society Relay for Life. As most of you already know, this is a very successful fund raiser for the American Cancer Society. For those how would like to know more about this organization and what it does to help with the eradication of cancer, log onto www.cancer.org.
Members of St. Mary's Catholic Church are selling tiki torches to be lit at the Relay on May 30. The torches are prominently displayed in front of the stage for all to see and enjoy. The torches can be purchased "in memory of" or "in honor of" a loved one. The price of the torches is $25, and may be kept as a momento after the end of the relay. The torches may be picked up at that time, or by contacting St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Anyone interested in purchasing a torch, please call St. Mary's at 435-5658 or Alex Wiggers at 723-4461. Your support is greatly appreciated. |
