Cougar golf finishes third The Franklin Academy golf team recently participated in their first tournament of the year at the Homer Golf Club on Monday, March 17.
Despite entering the tournament with the youngest squad of all participating teams, Franklin Academy placed a solid third in the six-team event.
Host Claiborne won the tournament with River Oaks finishing in second place.
After Franklin Academy, Glenbrook finished fourth followed by Tallulah in fifth place and Prairie View Academy who finished in sixth place.
The young Cougar squad was led by Dalton Oliver who shot a 85 in the 18-hole event to have the lowest score for Franklin Academy.
Chris Hassell also had a solid 18 holes for the Cougars as he shot a 96 followed by Drew Guice's 108, Nick Kaufman's 110 and a 135 by Justin Collins. |
