FPHS announces Internet resources for parents Franklin Parish High School will soon be offering Internet resources for parents and guardians to keep track of their children's academic records. Grades, school announcements, sports schedules, calendars, teacher web sites, discipline, attendance and transcript information will be accessible with a password.
Two primary web sites have been established to provide parents with their child's information. The Parent Command Center shows information only for the parent or guardian's child in the following areas: attendance, discipline, grades and transcripts. The FPHS web site provides information for daily announcments, upcoming events and teacher web sites.
The web sites can be accessed by going to: http://fphs.franklin.k12.la.us/ then click on the green box labeled "Parent Command Center." This web site will be available April 7, 2008. An open workshop for parents will be held in the conference room from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. At this time, student passwords will be given to the parents. If the parent or guardian cannot attend, a password may be obtained from the school at a later date. No passwords will be given to students. Parents must pick up passwords in person.
Schools across the parish will begin similar programs in the fall of 2008. |
