Gary named semi-finalist in photograph competition
Christina Janae Gary, born to the parents of Christy Allen and Jerry Gary Jr., of Winnsboro and the proud grandparents of Betty Johnson and John Allen of Winnsboro and Nelda Jones and Jerry Gary Sr. of Sicily Island, was recently selected as a semi-finalist in the children's category in the International Open Photograph Contest. Christina is ten months old and enjoys playing with her cousins and listening to nursery rhymes. Her photo was entitled, "True Beauty."
Christina's photo will now be entered into the final competition to be held in the winter of 2008, where she will have a chance to win one of over 114 cash or gift prizes, including the $1,000 grand prize or the $10,000 annual grand prize. As a reward of being selected one of the semi-finalist, Christina's photo will be published in the forthcoming anthology entitled "Endless Journeys", which is scheduled for publication in the spring of 2008. The publication will be a hardbound volume, which will showcase her photograph and the other semi-finalists. |
