Franklin Parish Junior Miss scheduled for March 1
Ten extraordinary young ladies will be competing in the 2009 Franklin Parish Junior Miss program, set for 7 p.m. Saturday at the Winnsboro Elementary Auditorium. Tickets are $10 per seat and are available at Franklin Academy.
Katelyn Leonard and Sophie Martin, 2008 Franklin Parish Junior Miss representatives, will relinquish their titles during the program. Junior Miss is a national scholarship program which promotes excellence in young ladies.
Special entertainment will be provided by Louisiana Junior Miss '08 Lauren McCalmont of Alexandria, Miss Crescent City Hope Anderson and two current Junior Misses, Katelyn Leonard and Sophie Martin with their Lil' Sisses, Anna Kay Rider and Mary Beth Gravelle.
Contestants this year will be vying for two spots to represent Franklin Parish in Louisiana's Junior Miss program. Contestants, their program numbers, schools, parents, sponsors and "Lil Sis" are:
• Stephani Page Stephens, #1, Franklin Academy, daughter of Steve Stephens and the Late Maebell Stephens, sponsored by Stephens Fish Farms, Inc., with Lil Sis Elizabeth Williams.
• Erin Morgan Hoffpauir #2, Franklin Parish High School, daughter of Pam Acree, Richard Hoffpauir and Mitchell Acree, sponsored by Robert Law Office of Keesha Bordelon, with Lil Sis Rebekah Grace Hamilton.
• Janna Michelle Wilson #3, Franklin Academy, daughter of Brian and Michelle Wilson, sponsored by Winnsboro State Bank, with Lil Sis Aynsley Belle Sweet.
• Adrienne Irene Hebert #4, Franklin Academy, daughter of Larry and DeDe Hebert, sponsored by Three Sisters Hair and Nail Salon, with Lil Sis Anna Grace Goode.
• Megan Elizabeth Reese #5, Franklin Parish High School, daughter of Frank Reese and the late Bridgette Reese, sponsored by Kenneth Banks Farms, with Lil Sis Hope Trahern.
• Mary Kate Guimbellot #6, Franklin Parish High School, daughter of Todd and Susan Guimbellot, sponsored by Guimbellot Nursery and Landscaping, with Lil Sis Hagan Ann Campbell.
