Vincent Burnett
Funeral services for Vincent Burnett, 49, of San Leandro, Calif., will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul #1 in Wisner.
Burial will follow at Oakley Cemetery, under the direction of Richardson and Sims Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mr. Burnett, died Jan. 29, 2008.

Amos 'AC' Clemons Jr.
Funeral services for Amos "AC" Clemons Jr., 79, of Monroe were held Saturday at Solomon Temple Baptist Church in Monroe.
Burial followed at Richwood Memorial Gardens in Monroe, under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home.
Mr. Clemons, a factory worker, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Survivors include his sons, Nathanial Martin, Shreveport; John Woods and Larry Woods, both of New York, NY; daughter, Mae Jackson, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; sister, Lucille C. Matthews, Winnsboro; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ray Burton, Broderick Matthews, Micheal Powell, Gregory Powell, Arnathan Scott and Reginald Scott.

Moises Delgado
Funeral services for Moises Delgado, age 30, of Wisner, were held Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008 at the Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro, with Elder John Solloway officating. Burial followed in the South Central Cemetery near Wisner under the directions of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Delgado died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2008 at the Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Zita and Jose Bernal, and Vicente and Augistna Delgado.
He is survived by his parents: Jesus and Cruz Delgado of Wisner; brothers: Jose Delgado and wife Debra of Alexandria, La., and Vicente Delgado of Pace, Fla., one sister: Ana Webb and husband James of Ruston, La.; eight nieces and nephews, and a host of aunts , uncles, and relatives.
Pallbearers were Ernest Delgado, Jesus Delgado, Alejandro Colunga, Fernando Colunga, Jeff Robinson, Jason Solloway.

Ethan Cole Johnson
A graveside service for Ethan Cole Johnson, infant son of Dana and Brook Johnson of Winnsboro, was held at New Life Cemetery on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008 with Rev. Michael Couch officiating. Services were under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Ethan passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: David and Diane Deville Jr.; great grandmother, Glynda Stringer; great-grandfather, Ralph Chapman.
Survivors include his parents, Charles "Brook" and Dana DeMaris (Deville) Johnson of Winnsboro; maternal great grandparents: David and Bernice Deville Sr. of Jena; paternal grandparents: Dennis and Diane Johnson of Winnsboro; paternal great grandmother: Annie Chapman of Winnsboro; paternal great grandfather: Lamar Johnson and wife Marion of Winnsboro; paternal great grandmother: Doris Sebold and husband Bob of Wisner.
Pallbearer was Dennis Johnson.

Sarah Roxie Griffing Wright
Funeral services for Sarah Roxie Griffing Wright, 88, of Winnsboro, were held Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008 in the Chapel of Mulhearn of Winnsboro with Rev. Marion Spence and Rev. Chris Thomas officiating. Interment followed in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mrs. Wright was born to the union of Arthur B. and Georgia King Griffing on Oct. 4, 1919 and passed away on Monday, January 28, 2008. She was preceded her in death by her husband, James Norville Wright; brother: James Felder Griffing; grandson: Brad Alan Wright; and nephew: Randy Griffing. She was a member of the Crowville United Methodist Church and a member of the Jersey Settlers that dates back to the arrival in the United States of John and Charles Westley. She was always pleased to say her heritage included five generations of Methodist ministers.
After her marriage she embraced the community Baptist Church and raised her family among the most wonderful friends and neighbors on earth at Hill Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two sons: Wade Wright and James Griffing Wright; two daughters: Iva Wright Scott and Jeannette Wright Cascio; two wonderful and much loved daughters-in-law: Effie Arnold Wright and Maxine Walters Wright; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother: Ralph Griffing and wife, Jay; one brother-in-law: Charles E. Wright and wife, Jewel; two sisters-in-law: June Wright Wilson and Louise Walters Wright; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were grandsons: Andrew Scott, Kenneth Wright, Dane Scott, Anthony Powell, Sammy Collins, Gavin Powell and Scott Turner.

Daisy Thomas
Funeral services for Daisy Thomas, 55, of Newellton were held Saturday at Newellton Chapel Baptist Church.
Burial followed at Union Cemetery in Newellton under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home.
Miss Thomas, a nurse aide, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at Corner Stone Hospital.
Survivors include her mother, Annie L. Thomas, Newellton; sisters: Martha Petty, Sharon Wilson and Nicole Brayboy; brothers: Ernest Thomas, Robert Thomas and Jeffery Thomas.
Pallbearers were Sam Thomas, Frank Thomas, Damian Thomas, Roderick Williams, Curtis Watson, Terrance Gales, Kevin Bradford, Clifford Earl, Willie Smith, William Smith Jr., Tim Turner, LeAndrew Riley.

Willie Ervin Walker
Funeral services for Willie Ervin Walker, 44, Alvarado, Texas were held Saturday at Newlight Baptist Church.
Burial followed at Hope Estate Cemetery in Wisner under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home.
Mr. Walker, a construction worker, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at Hugley Medical Center in Burleson, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn S. Walker, Alvarado; sons: Ervin Stewart, Cortez Stewart, Derrick Stewart, Williams Woods and Edgar Tillman; daughters: Brasalin Stewart and Ceiara Stewart; parents, Nathaniel Lister and Phebie L. Walker; sisters: Joanne Walker, Shelia Walker, Merlin Walker, Cathy Walker, Patricia Walker; brothers: Floyd Walker, Tyrone Walker, Nathaniel Walker; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Edgar Tillman, Undra Stewart, Jimmie Stewart, Floyd Walker, Carl Stewart and Ronald Stewart.

Geraldine Crain Rushing Golsby
Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine Crain Rushing Golsby, 69, of Winnsboro, will be held at Oak Grove Baptist, Winnsboro on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Stroud and Rev. George Ferrington officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Golsby was born Aug. 10, 1938 in Winnsboro, and passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2008 at Plantation Manor Nursing Home in Winnsboro. She was a resident of Winnsboro and a retired shipping clerk. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her husband-Leslie Golsby; father-George Crain; mother-Enomia (Mercer) Crain.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane May and husband Gary of Columbia; son, Edwin Rushing and wife Judy of Winnsboro; son, Timothy Rushing and wife Jonet of West Monroe; brother, Wayne Crain and wife Linda of Vidalia. She was also survived by eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one nephew.
Pallbearers will be Jason Rushing, Scott Crain, Stephen Crain, Chuck May, Alan Eddy, and Derrick Rushing. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Garner.
