Local writer named to Tiger Rag staff BATON ROUGE--Matt Reynolds of Winnsboro has been named assistant editor of the Tiger Rag magazine in Baton Rouge.
The Tiger Rag and TigerRag.com provides in-depth coverage of LSU sports with print and on-line editions.
"It's really a great time to be a part of LSU sports," Reynolds said. "I grew up loving LSU sports, and now I'm living half a mile from Death Valley, covering LSU sports."
Reynolds is a 1999 graduate of Winnsboro High School and attended Louisiana Tech.
"I'm still a few hours away from graduating," Reynolds said. "I plan to finish whenever I get the chance, but right now I'm pretty busy."
Reynolds wrote sports for The Franklin Sun and teamed with Jeff Johnston to call football, baseball and basketball games on KMAR radio station in Winnsboro.
He also covered prep sports in Monroe.
"I'm excited about this new opportunity," Reynolds said. "I want to continue to grow in the profession and get better at what I do.
Reynolds, 27, is the son of the Marilyn and Mitch Reynolds. |
