Winnsboro man held in stabbing

A Winnsboro man is behind bars following a stabbing in Catahoula Parish.

David Temple, 37, was arrested Christmas day for allegedly stabbing a Catahoula Parish resident in a domestic dispute.

Temple was booked into the Franklin Correction Center on charges of aggravated battery.

Franklin Parish chief deputy Kevin Cobb said Temple was arrested and booked without incident before being handed over to the Catahoula Parish Sheriff's Department.

"This happened in Catahoula Parish and they called us," Cobb said. "We picked him up for them."

Information about the victim was not available from Catahoula Parish because of the New Year's holiday.
