No. 24 Assumption Mustangs at No. 9 Franklin Parish Patriots

Time: 7 p.m. at Patriot Stadium

Radio: 95.9 KMAR

Last week: Franklin Parish beat Bastrop, 23-20. Assumption topped Morgan City, 42-14.

Regular season: Franklin Parish finished 8-2 overall. A 3-1 district record gave FP a second place finish in District 2-4A, the highest in school history. Assumption holds a 6-4 overall record. The Mustangs finished second in District 8-4A behind No. 8 Vandebilt Catholic with a district record of 3-1.

What/Who to watch:
FRANKLIN PARISH - Deon White, RB: After sitting out week nine with a minor injury, White exploded for 120 yards and two first half touchdowns in Franklin Parish's victory over Bastrop on Friday. The Patriot senior has tallied 867 yards and 10 TDs on the ground this season; Marcus Bingham, RB: Had a solid performance against Bastrop after sitting out with White against Neville due to an injury. As another one of the Patriots' home run threats, the junior has rushed for 914 yards and 7 TDs through the regular season.

ASSUMPTION: DeJuawn Oliver, RB/WR: The 6-1, 170 pound offensive weapon has been the go-to guy in the Mustangs spread attack this season. Has accumulated 934 yards on 37 receptions for 13 TDs. Three weeks ago Oliver caught 7 balls for 197 yards and 3 TDs against district rival South Terrebonne. Oliver has also rushed for over 400 yards and 4 TDs.

Prediction: Patriots have a big night rushing the ball, cruise into the second round with a 42-20 victory.
