I am woman, hear me vote Historically, women have not been treated with the same kind of equality we find written about so beautifully in the Constitution. It seems as if the country was founded on the equality of white men only and every civil rights victory since — from the Emancipation Proclamation to Women's Suffrage —has been one long effort to level the playing field for everyone else.
Now that we find ourselves on the heels of one of the most important presidential elections of our time, the women of this country should hold these suits to their platforms rather than be wooed by their titillating conversations and empty promises of equality legislation.
