Patriots hold off Wossman, 20-12

After winning its first two district contests, a red-hot Franklin Parish squad plays host to Delhi Charter for homecoming this Friday, taking a week off from district 2-4A action.

The Patriots, off to their best start in school history, held off an admirable Wossman comeback last Friday to edge out the Wildcats, 20-12, in Monroe.

Franklin Parish coach Barry Sebren said while he wasn't happy the way his team blew an early lead against the Wildcats, he was pleased to see the Patriots answer the call when it mattered most.

"Wossman is a tough place to play and it is even harder to win at their homecoming," Sebren said after the FP win. "When they made their run late we answered the bell for the championship round. We finished the game like a contender."
