Businessman Kelly Martin was invited to speak to Oakley Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) on Tuesday, Sept. 18, about his work with public and private high schools in Franklin, Richland and Tensas parishes. Martin is on a one-man mission to bring awareness to future generations of the freedoms provided to all Americans in the U.S. Constitution. 

"No other country in the world enjoys the personal freedom that Americans enjoy in our everyday lives. In this generation and future generations ... If we forget the price that was paid for our liberties ... if we take it for granted ... we stand a great chance of losing everything they sacrificed to give us," Martin said.
