Dragons pummel Madison, 42-8 The Mangham Dragons flexed their muscle early and often last Friday, posting five rushing scores en route to a 42-8 victory over Madison in their season opener.
The duel-quarterback system worked out well for the Dragons, as Colton Monnin and Ridge Heisler both provided significant offensive production. Monnin rushed for two scores, while Heisler rushed and passed for two touchdowns of his own.
The Mangham defense shutout Madison nearly the entire contest, allowing the Jaguars only score with less than five minutes to go in the game. Dragon runningback Brian Kriff racked up over 150 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Kriff was also on the receiving end of Heisler's 10-yard-touchdown pass.
The Dragons host Buckeye, a class 3A school, this Friday at Dragon Field. |
