The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is offering a public dove hunt in Franklin Parish on Saturday, Sept. 1.

Shooting begins at Noon and ends at sunset.

The hunting plot is 110 acres of harvested milo just east of Gilbert, at the intersection of Hwy. 4 and Hwy. 128.

No ATV's or alcohol is allowed on the premises.

Hunters must have appropriate hunting licenses with HIP certification.

The permit for the hunt will be available on site for $10 (exact change or money order). Hunters 16 years of age or younger with proper certification may hunt free of charge.
