Lady Cougars take tournament title
The Franklin Academy Lady Cougars took home the hardware at the Greenville Christian Softball tournament over the weekend.
The Lady Cougars notched four consecutive wins on the way to the tournament championship.
Franklin Academy started the day with a 9-1 victory over Delta Academy. Sarah Haring earned the complete-game win, limiting Delta to just five hits.
Tyler Robinson led the Lady Cougars offensively with three hits on four trips to the plate. Three other Lady Cougars, Sarah Haring, Amber Easterling and Sarah Roberts each went 2-for-4 to lead Franklin Academy's 12 hit attack.
