Suspect in Larto slayings apprehended
Through the combined efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies, authorities apprehended Lee John Ponthieux Jr. without incident just before midnight on Monday according to officials with Troop E of the Louisiana State Police.
The manhunt for Ponthieux, 42, began earlier that morning after he was named a suspect in the shooting deaths of three people in the small Catahoula Parish community of Larto.
