Hoops program wraps up
The annual summer basketball program sponsored by the City of Winnsboro had another big year according to event organizers.
Conducted at the Horace G. White Sr. Learning Center through June and July, nearly 60 kids a day participated in the program under the direction of long-time area coaches Kathy Odom and Melissa Robinson.
"You look back now and Winnsboro has had three mayors since this program started," Robinson said of the youth program that was founded in the 1990s. "That shows it has been going for a while now and we are really happy that it's still going this strong.
