'Meet the Cougars' set for Aug. 8
Franklin Academy will host "Meet the Cougars" next month to kick off the new school year.
The back-to-school event will honor the FA student athletes for the upcoming fall sporting year. The varsity, JV and peewee football teams will be recognized, as well as the Lady Cougars softball squad and the cheerleaders.
Family and friends are encouraged to come out and show their Cougar spirit on Wednesday, August 8 at 5:50 p.m. at Cougar Football Field. Free hot dogs and cold drinks will be served, as well as a devotional by Steve Bryan.
The Cougar's varsity football team has been practicing since late June in preparation for their follow-up campaign to a stellar 2011 season.
